Since October of 2019, AJ has been compiling photography on his daily walks for this particular exhibit. For the past two and a half years, he was dealing with atrial fibrillation, a condition that spontaneously triggers an arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). AJ sought to combine, once again as he did in his last series—México Querido, his photography with his painting and capture the feeling he had while experiencing this condition. Thankfully, a recent procedure has remedied any relapse. The oil and acrylic paint metaphorically demonstrates this arrhythmia of his heart (Sp. corazón) within these various sky scapes (Sp. cielo).
